The mooring lines in the Azores are loose

And then, finally, the time has come. Linde is on her way to the Netherlands. With a delay of almost a month the time has come.

As we mentioned in an earlier message, the weather wasn’t good. A storm, days of wind from the northeast, windless days and everything you can think of.

Last Monday I looked on predictwind and both the European and the American charts gave the same picture. Wind that seemed to be fairly along for the ride.

When we contacted the current owners, it turned out that they had exactly the same feeling. There is a chance that Linde can leave on Thursday.

And then tonight is the day. The next few days the wind seems to be very good. It won’t be completely sunny days, but the wind is reasonable.

First softly a knot or 5 but then it increases a bit for a couple of days. And in the right direction too.

About 1600NM and about 14 days Linde will be on the road. All that remains is for us to keep an eye on MarineTraffic…
